Global award winning Dj/Producer duo, Black Motion arrive Lagos Sunday the 30th of September!
Known for their high energy percussive traditional African sounds & luxurious melodies, this magical duo turn the dance floor into a roller coaster of epic twists and turns!
Popularly known as DJ Spinall a.k.a TheCAP. DJ Spinall is known for his fearless mixes on the decks, a feat that has differentiated him from many and won him recognition and several awards. DJ Spinall created a distinctive look by adding a style edge known as TheCAP to his outfit. This move is aimed at showcasing his style adventure and also celebrating the African Prints.
Boj is the stage name for Nigerian singer Bolaji Ojudokan. Initially of the group DRB whose other members he met while in college in Worcestershire, Boj became noticed for his singing. Born to a small family where he was an only child for nearly a decade, his music was influenced by his mother’s taste, which went from Lagbaja, Fela to Lauryn Hill, Wyclef and Bob Marley.
Show Dem Camp
Following the resounding underground success of their street releases ‘Clone Wars Volume 1 & 2’, Show Dem Camp received critical acclaim for their debut album 2011’s ‘The Dreamer Project’, a lyrically poignant, emotionally candid musical account of the multiple journeys of dreamers- notably those wanting to escape their current circumstances through the pursuit of seemingly unattainable goals.
Wavy The Creator
Jennifer Ejoke who is best known as Wavy The Creator has such a unique sound that it’s impossible to forget it the minute you get a taste. Beyond the music, she has carved a niche for herself in various creative areas which include photography, being Olamide’s personal photographer for shows like the One Africa Fest in Houston under the name Wavy Film, filmmaking, visual arts and fashion—owning her own clothing line called AZIF. In all of these projects, her unique personality bleeds through in the form of retro hippie vibes and vibrant colours.
Ajebutter 22 was a member of duo Soyinka’s Afro, with his sister Taymi, releasing ‘Ko Easy’ in 2010. The group was based in the UK. After his sister/band member relocated to Nigeria, he went solo. The release of ‘Omo Pastor’ (2012), a comically delivered song about a pastor’s daughter shenanigans announced his music to the Nigerian audience. The song ‘Senrere’ also achieved considerable airplay.
Pretty Boy DO
Jaga’s strongest asset as an artiste is his distinguishable voice, delivery, and lyrical prowess. Making huge waves in the Nigerian underground hip-hop scene.
Nigerian musician (Olufemi Makinwa) M.A.K is a multitalented music performer, producer, and recording artist from Lagos, Nigeria. Prepare to be entertained with energetic performances and surprises from M.A.K.
